Job Description:
We are seeking a Cloud Architect with deep Azure expertise for a long-term contract role supporting strategic cloud transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience, with strong architectural design skills, deep knowledge of cloud security and infrastructure, and hands-on Azure implementation experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Lead end-to-end design of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps workflows.
- Implement best practices for cloud governance, cost optimization, and automation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define technical roadmaps.
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, SOC 2, etc.).
- Lead cloud migrations, containerization efforts, and hybrid integrations.
- Provide mentoring and technical leadership to internal teams.
Required Skills:
- 8+ years in cloud architecture, infrastructure, and platform engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, including:
- Azure Compute, Networking, Storage, Key Vault
- Azure DevOps, ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform
- Azure Security Center, Azure Monitor, and Cost Management
- Deep understanding of cloud-native design, microservices, and containerization (AKS, Docker).
- Solid background in scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).
- Experience with cloud migration strategies (lift-and-shift, re-platform, re-architecture).
Nice to Have:
- Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or DevOps Engineer Expert.
- Familiarity with multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP) is a plus.
- Experience with data platform architecture (Synapse, Data Factory, etc.).
