Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Help Desk Technician to provide comprehensive IT support to our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues while delivering exceptional customer service. As a Help Desk Technician, you will be the first point of contact for end-users experiencing technical difficulties, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining optimal IT operations across diverse platforms and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and setup PCs, laptops, tablets, printers, scanners, minor network equipment, and office equipment.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and ensure equipment readiness for IT equipment and networks on all buses.
  • Install updates and maintain PCs and laptops at all fixed sites.
  • Manage supply inventory for copiers, printers, fax machines, etc.
  • Troubleshoot minor copier, printer, and office equipment issues.
  • Research and implement solutions for desktop operating systems and application errors.
  • Initiate setup and maintain network user accounts in various applications.
  • Maintain elements of Microsoft Active Directory as delegated.
  • Keep accurate help desk ticket logs and activity records.
  • Participate in project and process improvement teams as directed.
  • Provide back-up for certain software applications as directed.
  • Participate in and oversee various projects as assigned.

Experience

  • Proven experience in providing help desk or IT support within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems, including Windows (Windows 10/11/Server) .
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting computer hardware components and peripherals.
  • Ability to analyze technical issues efficiently using analysis skills to identify root causes quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills combined with a customer-focused approach to deliver effective IT solutions.

Education:

  • Two year technical degree or equivalent experience and basic IT certifications (A +, Network +, Server +, Security +, etc.)
  • Other IT Industry Certifications are a plus

Requirements:

  • Driver's License

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
