Job Description:

This 50% time position requires a Sr. Oracle DBA to provide support to a state of CA agency. Currently this is a 100% remote position , but residence in Northern CA (Bay Area, Sacramento, etc.) is required due to periodic in-person meetings in Sacramento required by the client or by Riley.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot database and application server issues
• Monitor database and application servers to identify bottlenecks, tune the system
• Assure databases and applications are secure – user account set up, set permissions, set auditing
• Perform database and application health checks, monthly
• Create SQL reports and queries as requested
• Reviewing and verifying all backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures for each of the databases assigned

Mandatory Requirements:

• Ten years of Oracle 12c, 19c, and Redhat Linux DBA support experience.
• Ten years of writing PERL and PowerShell scripts experience
• Ten (10) years of PL/SQL tuning experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience.

Desired Experience

• Five years or more of state of CA DBA experience

This position will require a background check and may, in the future, require some amount of on-site work in Sacramento, CA. Residence in CA is required, with Northern CA preferred due to periodic (several times a year) in-person meetings in Sacramento
