Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a dedicated Staff Security Engineer to join their team. As a Staff Security Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Security Department supporting various security initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Staff Security Engineer

Location: Rockville, Maryland

Pay Range: $71-74

What's the Job?

• Apply established processes and techniques to identify, validate, and prioritize security risks.
• Architect and design security control systems to address security requirements.
• Operate and monitor established security controls, ensuring their effectiveness.
• Review, triage, and prioritize control output, recommending actions to resolve security discrepancies.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies, techniques, and tools to enhance security posture.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience in information security.
• Experience in securing networks, systems architecture, and security policy development.
• Knowledge of communications protocols and familiarity with various cybersecurity tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop effective working relationships.
