Overview
Chemstream is looking to fill a Senior Network Administrator position to maintain a reliable, secure and efficient data communications network. The ideal candidate will be able to deploy, configure, maintain and monitor all active network equipment, MS 365 tenant, as well as excellent problem-solving skills to ensure smooth network operation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Fully support, configure, maintain and upgrade corporate customer networks and on-premises servers
  • Provide IT support duties as necessary, which may occur after normal working hours
  • Install and integrate new server hardware, switches, and applications
  • Administer Microsoft 365 tenant/Entra AD within a hybrid configuration
  • Ensure network security and connectivity, including MFA methods (Duo, on-premises and cloud)
  • VOIP phone system management
  • Monitor and administer updates
  • Support and administer third-party applications
  • Monitor network performance
  • Resolve problems reported by end user
  • Define network policies and procedures
  • Specify system requirements and design solutions
  • Research and make recommendations on system administration
  • Develop and maintain documentation and procedures
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend upgrades or changes as needed.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in a network administrator role
  • Ability to set up and configure server hardware and switches (Cisco/Ruckus)
  • Server virtualization (VMware) experience required
  • Experience with network storage management (NetApp), snapshot and replication (disaster recovery implementation)
  • Experience in networking, routing and switching (layer 2 and 3)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 / Entra AD cloud experience
  • Enterprise class wireless networking environment (Ubiquiti, Ruckus Unleashed)
  • Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of virtual infrastructure
  • Experience with firewalls (SonicWall preferred), Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
  • Software deployment experience
  • Proficient at organizing, prioritizing and multitasking
  • MCSA, Cisco, BCNE training a plus
  • Network management experience using RMM (N-able, connectwise)
  • Must be a team player with excellent work ethic and interpersonal communication/people skills

Work Environment

Most duties will be performed within our main office environment with the majority of time sitting at a computer. However, the IT department at Chemstream does have responsibility for a wide range of technological needs within the company and occasional travel to regional office/field locations could be necessary.

Experience

  • 10+ years in network administration required.

Work Location

  • Homer City, PA corporate office (in person) and multiple regional location support.

Salary
