Position Overview

The Junior Data Scientist / Data Analyst (Contract) will play a pivotal role in managing, analyzing, and interpreting healthcare-related data to support our mission. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights that influence decision-making, optimize processes, and improve patient care.

You will have the opportunity to build and implement solutions leveraging the latest advancements in deep learning, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. By designing and applying these cutting-edge methodologies, you will help extract valuable insights, develop predictive models, and create tools that enhance outcomes and drive innovation in healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Management: Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets from various sources.
• Analysis: Perform statistical analyses and generate actionable insights from healthcare data.
• Visualization: Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
• Collaboration: Work with product, engineering, and clinical teams to define data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Data Quality: Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data by implementing best practices for validation and maintenance.
• Machine Learning (Developing): Develop and apply basic machine learning models to identify patterns and predict outcomes.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a data-focused role (internship experience included).
• Skills:
• Proficiency in SQL and Python or R for data analysis.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of statistical methods and predictive modeling.
• Knowledge of healthcare datasets or standards (e.g., FHIR, ICD-10) is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
