We are currently hiring for a MAINTENANCE MECHANIC in Vernon Hills, IL.

What will you do as a MAINTENANCE MECHANIC?

Groundskeeping 50%

• Cut grass using lawn mowers and other equipment
• Perform weeding to maintain clean landscape areas
• Operate string trimmers for edging and detailed trimming work
• Apply mulch to garden beds and landscaped areas
• Use hand tools such as shovels and rakes for grounds maintenance
• Handle water hoses for irrigation and cleaning tasks
• Sweep and maintain clean walkways and outdoor surfaces using brooms

Light Custodial 50%

• Empty interior and exterior trash and recycling containers
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including restocking supplies
• Set up and rearrange conference rooms and learning spaces as needed

Who qualifies for the MAINTENANCE MECHANIC position?

• High School diploma, or equivalent required
• Knowledge of basic cleaning equipment (i.e., pressure washers, pressure mops, janitorial supplies, etc.)
• Knowledge of basic landscaping
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, push or pull at waist or lower back
• Ability to pass a background check

What hours will the MAINTENANCE MECHANIC work?

• Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 3:00pm.
• 12-week temporary position, subject to change

How much will you earn as a MAINTENANCE MECHANIC?

• Starting pay is $19.42/hr.
