I.T. Manager | Full-Time (On-Site Only)
Heritage Senior Living | Oshkosh / Madison / Menomonee Falls, WI
Heritage Senior Living is hiring a hands-on I.T. Manager to lead day-to-day operations, and own delivery of secure, reliable technology across our Wisconsin communities.
Work Arrangement: This is an on-site role based at one (1) of our locations—Oshkosh, Madison, or Menomonee Falls, WI. No hybrid or remote option. Regular travel to Wisconsin communities may be required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities and Minimum Qualifications
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the I.T. team; set SLAs, manage queues, review metrics, and coach for first-contact resolution and quality documentation.
- Own Microsoft 365 / Entra ID / Intune governance (identity lifecycle, RBAC, conditional access, device compliance, license stewardship).
- Oversee network/Wi‑Fi standards and uptime with vendors/ISPs; plan upgrades, validate configurations, and coordinate maintenance windows.
- Manage security/compliance (HIPAA-aware): MFA, EDR/AV posture, patch/vulnerability management, email security (SPF/DKIM/DMARC), backups/DR, incident response, and access reviews.
- Direct asset lifecycle/procurement (standards, RFPs, budgeting, inventory accuracy, refresh cycles, device recovery).
- Plan and deliver projects (new community openings, office moves, Wi‑Fi redesigns, endpoint refreshes, A/V deployments) on time and on budget.
- Report to leadership with monthly service metrics, risks/issues, and change calendars; maintain current SOPs, diagrams, and runbooks.
- Champion user education and change management; publish concise guides and run brief trainings.
- Provide after-hours leadership for maintenance and escalations; participate in on-call as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience over certificates: 5+ years progressive I.T. operations, including 2+ years leading or supervising in a multi‑site environment. Degree/certifications preferred, but equivalent hands-on experience is fully acceptable.
- Deep experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Intune; strong Windows endpoint and identity management skills.
- Solid network fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, Wi‑Fi, DNS/DHCP) and familiarity with firewalls and site connectivity.
- Proven vendor management, budgeting/forecasting, and contract negotiation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication; able to translate technical decisions into business impact for clinical and operations leaders.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings/nights/weekends; valid driver’s license; statewide day travel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience.
- AZ‑104, SC‑300, MD‑102, Security+, Network+, ITIL.
- PowerShell automation; familiarity with low-code tooling for workflow/reporting.
- Healthcare/senior living experience; working knowledge of HIPAA controls.
