Job description
Systems Engineer II (onsite)
Location: Tulsa, OKType: Direct Hire/FTE
Primary Function
Mid- to senior-level systems engineer supporting enterprise network, server, and application infrastructure. Responsible for system administration, troubleshooting, solution design, and ensuring stability, security, and interoperability across the environment.
Core Responsibilities (Critical Highlights)
Operational
Administer and maintain enterprise servers, networks, storage, and applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues escalated from the Help Desk.
Install, configure, secure, and maintain advanced network/server/storage systems.
Design and implement new technologies, upgrades, and system enhancements.
Ensure compatibility and interoperability across all computing systems.
Conduct system testing, user reviews, and collaborate with teams to meet project goals.
Meet with end users to gather requirements and resolve system issues.
Administrative
Train users on new or updated systems.
Produce system diagrams, specifications, and documentation.
Research hardware/software options and support procurement recommendations.

Adherence to safety, security, and proper equipment use.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
5–15 years of hands-on systems engineering or infrastructure experience.
Proven experience with server OS, client OS, virtualization, network hardware, and infrastructure systems.
Ability to solve highly complex technical issues and deliver workable solutions.
Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects in high-pressure environments.
High customer-service aptitude and ability to work independently.
Willingness to work extended hours for upgrades, outages, and deployments.
Must maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data appropriately.
Technical Skills
Required
Deep knowledge of Windows Server/Desktop, virtualization, Microsoft authentication (cloud/on-prem).
O365 administration.
Backup systems, SAN/ISCSI, virtual server management, patch management.
Understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, SMTP.
Network fundamentals, email/web filtering, security concepts.
Preferred
ATM, firewall/IPS, and advanced network design.
VMware, SAN technologies, disaster recovery and datacenter failover.
Advanced protocol knowledge.
Preferred Certifications
Microsoft Administrator/Engineer/Architect.
AWS/Azure cloud certifications, Cisco certifications.
CompTIA, ISC2, or similar credentials.
Physical & Work Environment
Mix of sitting, standing, walking; lifting up to 50 lbs.
Quiet office environment.
