We are seeking a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in deploying and supporting high-volume, high-performance applications across cloud-based, mobile, and on-premise environments. This on-site role requires a detail-oriented professional with a problem-solving mindset, capable of ensuring accurate code deployment, identifying potential issues, and promoting development best practices throughout the organization. What Your Responsibilities Will Look Like:

  • Act as primary deployment resource for all code changes across the application portfolio
  • Gatekeeping change control that will impact Production
  • Verify successful continuous delivery deployments
  • Maintain the release repository and manage key information such as build and release procedures
  • Develop and implement best practices to improve the code deployment methodology
  • Assist in overall release planning, release governance, risk assessment, milestone management, release prioritization, status reporting, production readiness review and change implementation
  • Resolve deployment issues with development and configuration teams
  • Consult with application, service & project teams to design and gain consensus on deployment planning
  • Triage and resolve environment related defects and provide continuous environment support
  • Support, improve, administer and research new tools for continuous integration and continuous delivery
  • Audit build files for completeness and reconcile code with corresponding change requests
  • Work collaboratively with all participants in software development projects to ensure all modifications are documented and have passed quality gates
  • Support audit processes from change and release management perspective
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure right controls are in place for process compliance
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications to Be a DevOps Release Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or related field; proven industry experience will be acceptable in lieu of degree.
  • Understanding of waterfall, agile, and iterative development methodologies
  • Strong technical capabilities
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in similar role.
  • A well-organized and self-directed individual who is able to work with minimal amount of supervision
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-moving IT landscape and keep pace with latest thinking and new technologies, methodologies and policies
  • An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to operate standard office equipment.
