Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
The Database Administrator, Senior works under general supervision and is responsible for the installation, support, tuning, and administration of Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS) database environments. This individual will take a leadership role in the implementation, configuration and troubleshooting database instances, replication and backups. The Database Administrator, Senior will also support the upgrade and installation of new database software in a highly available environment. This individual will serve as a mentor to other Database Administrators, and will work closely with members of other MCHS teams.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Education qualifications must be from a school whose accreditation is recognized by Marshfield Clinic.
Minimum Required Education/Experience: Demonstrated experience supporting databases, writing and troubleshooting queries, and applying ETL principles. Demonstrated leadership skills in addition to one of the following:
- Bachelors’ degree in computer science, computer engineering, or an IT related field and six years’ relevant work experience.
- Associate degree in IT related field and ten years’ relevant work experience.
Preferred/Optional: Demonstrated experience with implementation of disaster recovery methods. Knowledge and experience with server installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
