Job Summary:
CBD RS is seeking a highly skilled and motivated WordPress & WooCommerce Development Specialist to play a crucial role in building, optimizing, and maintaining our e-commerce platform. This role requires a deep understanding of WordPress, WooCommerce, and best practices for online sales, ideally with experience or a strong interest in navigating the unique challenges and opportunities within the Hemp/THC industry. You will be responsible for ensuring our website is visually appealing, user-friendly, highly functional, secure, and optimized for conversions.
Responsibilities:
- Website Development & Implementation:
- Build and customize WordPress websites utilizing the WooCommerce platform.
- Implement and configure themes and plugins to meet specific business requirements.
- Develop custom functionalities and integrations as needed using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Ensure website responsiveness across various devices (desktop, tablet, mobile).
- WooCommerce Optimization:
- Optimize the online store for speed, performance, and scalability.
- Implement and manage product catalogs, pricing, shipping options, and payment gateways.
- Configure and optimize the checkout process for a seamless customer experience.
- Implement and manage inventory management systems.
- Website Maintenance & Security:
- Perform regular website maintenance, including updates to WordPress core, themes, and plugins.
- Implement and monitor website security measures to protect against vulnerabilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues and bugs promptly.
- Perform regular website backups.
- SEO & Performance Optimization:
- Implement on-page SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings.
- Optimize website content and structure for SEO.
- Utilize analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track website performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement strategies to improve website loading speed and overall performance.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and other teams to understand their needs and translate them into website functionalities.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding project progress, timelines, and potential challenges.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in WordPress, WooCommerce, and e-commerce.
- Industry Specific Considerations (Hemp/THC):
- Understand and implement solutions to address the specific requirements and potential limitations of selling Hemp/THC products online (e.g., age verification, compliance considerations, payment processing nuances).
- Stay informed about relevant regulations and guidelines within the Hemp/THC industry that may impact the website.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in developing and managing WordPress websites with a strong focus on WooCommerce.
- Solid understanding of PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies.
- Experience with responsive web design principles and implementation.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and website performance optimization techniques.
- Experience with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within the Hemp/THC industry or a strong understanding of its unique e-commerce landscape.
- Experience with specific plugins relevant to the Hemp/THC industry (e.g., age verification, specific payment gateways).
- Familiarity with graphic design principles and tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
- Experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization.
- Knowledge of website security best practices and implementation.
