Job Title: Db2 DBA (z/OS)
Location: Plano, Texas, Charlotte, NC, Jacksonville, FL, or Chandler, AZ
Rate: $65-$67/hour W2
Duration: 12+ months

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Db2 Database Administrator with expertise in mainframe z/OS environments to provide business-as-usual (BAU) support and ensure the stability, performance, and availability of enterprise databases. This role requires a strong background in Db2 utilities, table design, and hands-on administration in large, enterprise-scale mainframe environments.

Must Haves / Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience as a Db2 DBA on mainframe z/OS.
• Deep expertise in Db2 utilities, database design, and table structures.
• Proven experience with performance tuning, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.
• Strong background supporting production BAU environments.
• Experience with database migrations, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in enterprise-scale environments.

Responsibilities:

• Provide ongoing BAU support for Db2 on z/OS environments.
• Manage database objects, perform table design, and utilize Db2 utilities effectively.
• Conduct performance tuning, troubleshooting, and monitoring to ensure system health.
• Support database changes, upgrades, and enhancements.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to maintain database reliability and availability.
• Maintain documentation, best practices, and compliance standards.

Preferred / Nice to Have:

• Industry experience in financial services, insurance, or other enterprise-scale sectors.
• Familiarity with automation or scripting to support DBA tasks.
• Exposure to modern database tools or monitoring platforms.
