About the Opportunity
A confidential, high-growth financial technology organization is seeking a seasoned Senior Network Engineer to strengthen and scale its infrastructure. The company operates a secure, global payments platform and supports complex, high-volume transaction environments.
This role is ideal for a Cisco-proficient network professional who thrives in a dynamic, compliance-driven setting and wants to take ownership of mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, configure, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and ASA/FTD firewalls in a mixed on-premises and cloud environment.
- Oversee network performance and security, ensuring maximum uptime and resilience.
- Integrate on-prem workloads with AWS and/or Azure infrastructure.
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and related network services.
- Implement and maintain VPNs, VLANs, ACLs, and other core network components.
- Participate in capacity planning, documentation, and process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance system scalability, performance, and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
- Deep expertise in Cisco technologies—switching, routing, and firewall management.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, QoS, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Experience managing cloud networking (AWS VPC or Azure Virtual Network).
- Skilled with Microsoft core services (AD, DNS, DHCP) and Dell/HP servers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, security-minded approach.
