Job Description Summary:
The Database Administrator is responsible for designing, maintaining, and securing the organization’s databases. This role supports our data-driven initiatives by managing core systems, integrating financial data, and supporting analytics. This position reports to the VP of Finance.
Essential Duties:
- Design, implement, and maintain databases for club operations, membership billing, and corporate systems.
- Administer and optimize the data warehouse including physical design, indexing, and metadata management.
- Integrate Sage 300 Contractor accounting data with operational systems, and coordinate system upgrades.
- Support Power BI workspaces, access control, and dashboard performance; educate users on BI best practices.
- Execute backup, disaster-recovery strategies, and enforce data security protocols.
- Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize SQL queries and indexes.
- Collaborate with finance, data, and operations teams to deliver aligned database solutions.
- Document procedures and maintain technical documentation for internal stakeholders.

- Ensure data integrity, availability, and security across platforms.
- Participate in audits and compliance activities related to data storage and processing.
- Identify opportunities for processing automation and system optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data needs.
Contribute documentation, training, and internal knowledge sharing.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in database administration, preferably with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
- Familiarity with Sage 300 Contractor or similar platforms is highly desirable.
Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency with relational databases, SQL, and performance tuning.
- Experience with data warehouse platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure).
- Strong ETL/ELT/SSIS scripting capabilities for automation and data flows.
- Power BI administration experience, including workspace and access management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration capabilities.
