Job Title: DevOps Engineer (Airflow & Kubernetes)
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 6-month contract to start, (potentially convert to full time after 6 months)
Working Hours: 1:00pm 10:00pm CST daily

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Airflow, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation. This role is critical to supporting our production environment, ensuring reliability, scalability, and efficient deployment of applications and workflows. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with Airflow DAGs, Kubernetes deployments, and monitoring tools, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced production support environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage deployment pipelines using Jenkins for multiple web and application servers
  • Deploy and maintain applications in Kubernetes environments (AKS preferred) using Helm/Kubectl
  • Implement, configure, and troubleshoot Airflow (v2.10 or 3.0+) via Helm charts in Kubernetes
  • Develop and maintain Airflow DAGs (Python) for complex schedules, triggers, cron jobs, and hooks
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Airflow DAG execution daily across multiple environments
  • Configure alerts/notifications for production and UAT job failures; respond in line with SLAs
  • Utilize monitoring and observability tools (Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus) for production support
  • Manage version control and release processes using Git or similar repositories
  • Write and maintain Shell and Python scripts to automate operational tasks
  • Provide production support during scheduled hours and extended coverage as needed
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Strong understanding of web and application server architecture
  • Proven experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines
  • Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes (AKS preferred) and Helm
  • In-depth experience configuring and supporting Airflow in Kubernetes
  • Solid Python development skills, specifically for Airflow DAGs
  • Proficiency with monitoring/observability tools (Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus)
  • Strong scripting ability in Shell and Python
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve production issues quickly
