Duties

  • Manage and maintain servers across various operating systems including Windows, Linux, and UNIX, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Oversee virtualization platforms such as VMware and ESXi to optimize resource utilization and streamline system deployment.
  • Implement and monitor load balancing, RAID controllers, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and other network services to guarantee secure and reliable connectivity.
  • Design, develop, and deploy system architectures utilizing microservices, RESTful APIs, solution architecture principles, and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
  • Automate routine tasks through scripting languages like Bash (Unix shell), Python, Shell Scripting, and PowerShell to improve efficiency.
  • Administer databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server with a focus on performance tuning and data security.
  • Coordinate with development teams utilizing DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Git version control, and container orchestration via Kubernetes.
  • Ensure information security by implementing best practices in cybersecurity measures—firewalls, encryption protocols—and conducting regular vulnerability assessments.
  • Support cloud infrastructure management using AWS and Azure services for scalable resource provisioning.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and incident reports to support compliance and knowledge sharing.

Skills

  • Extensive experience with system administration across multiple operating systems including Windows Server and Linux distributions.
  • Strong knowledge of system architecture design principles including solution architecture and system design best practices.
  • Proficiency in virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi and Virtualization platforms like Azure or AWS cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with network management including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing solutions, and computer networking fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle SQL/PL/SQL for data storage solutions.
  • Expertise in scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell), Python, Shell Scripting for automation tasks.
  • Knowledge of modern development methodologies including Agile/Scrum frameworks and SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
  • Ability to design scalable microservices architectures using RESTful APIs and solution architecture principles.
  • Understanding of information security concepts—firewalls, VPNs, encryption—and implementing best practices for data protection.
  • Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes; CI/CD tools such as Jenkins; version control systems like Git.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as NoSQL solutions for flexible data models; experience with load balancing techniques to optimize performance. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $91,399.05 - $105,985.96 per year
