Job Duties : Design, develop, troubleshoot and/or test/QA software. As a member of the software engineering division, apply knowledge of software architecture to perform tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field and 5 years of experience in job offered or in a Software Developer-related occupation. Position Requires:
- Object-oriented programming languages Java, Python, and C++;
- Distributed systems;
- Consensus protocols: Paxos or Raft;
- Hashing techniques and Consistent hashing;
- System architecture concepts and models: modularization, abstraction, encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, coupling, cohesion, scalability, availability, and fault tolerance;
- Troubleshooting issues in system using tools; ping, traceroute, ipconfig, nslookup, netstat and devising solutions;
- Testing frameworks like JUnit or Selenium;
- Version control systems; Git or SVN;
- CI/CD pipeline tools Jenkins and terraform;
- Data structures: arrays, linked lists, trees, graphs, B-trees, or B+trees;
- Algorithms: sorting, searching, or recursion;
- Database systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server;
- Key value stores: DynamoDB, Cassandra;
- Software development lifecycle and running large software development projects through Agile and Scrum methodology; and
- Project management tooling like JIRA and Asana.
