Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Tier 3 IT Manager to lead our technical operations and support team. This role blends senior-level systems engineering with team management and client project oversight. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in an MSP or similar fast-paced IT services environment.

This is a full-time, onsite position. Some flexibility in scheduling may be considered for the right candidate, but remote work is not available.

What You’ll Do

• Provide Tier 3 support for complex system, network, and cloud issues
• Lead and mentor a small team of 3-4 IT professionals
• Architect and implement IT infrastructure projects (servers, firewalls, Microsoft 365, cloud migrations)
• Manage backups, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity solutions
• Assign and oversee technical support tickets and project tasks
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for systems, processes, and client environments
• Coordinate directly with clients on projects, service delivery, and escalations
• Evaluate and implement new technologies and best practices

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in IT support or systems administration (preferably in an MSP)
• Prior leadership or team management experience
• Strong technical knowledge of:
• Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure
• Networking, firewalls, VPNs (Sophos preferred)
• Virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware)
• Backup and disaster recovery systems
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Experience working in an MSP or fast-paced IT services environment
• Familiarity with RMM/PSA platforms like ConnectWise, NinjaOne, or Autotask

Bonus Points For

• IT certifications (Microsoft, Sophos, Cisco, CompTIA, etc.)
• Experience managing compliance requirements (HIPAA, CMMC, etc.)
• Project management experience with client-facing deliverables

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
