About Us

We are an enterprise SaaS platform on Azure specializing in multi‑client, non‑balance‑sheet inventory control and transportation planning. We are building a small, high‑impact in‑house team that can enhance our current offering quickly and pragmatically. Part of a large corporate transportation company, but tasked to do our own thing.

Role Overview

We are looking for a full‑stack engineer who can improve and extend our existing multi‑client inventory platform by leveraging Claude‑style AI‑assisted coding tools, rather than writing everything from scratch. The focus is on delivering robust, secure, maintainable features across the stack—backend, middleware, and UI—while using AI coding assistance to move faster and more efficiently.

Our headquarters are in Southern California, but we are aiming to build a small in‑house team based in the Houston area. We’d like occasional in‑person collaboration while still offering flexibility for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and maintain our Azure‑hosted, multi‑client, non‑balance‑sheet inventory and transportation planning platform.
• Use Claude‑style AI‑assisted coding tools to implement features, refactor existing code, and reduce development and maintenance overhead.
• Work across the full stack: databases, APIs and middleware, and front‑end/UI components.
• Implement and enforce secure coding practices, including input validation, proper authentication and authorization, secrets management, and secure data handling.
• Collaborate with product and operations stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Improve performance, reliability, observability, and maintainability of existing services.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to documentation, and help define development standards and best practices.
• Advance AI-assisted code skills with an emphasis on build/test with AI first.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a full‑stack or backend engineer building and maintaining SaaS applications.
• Solid skills with at least one modern backend stack (for example, .NET, Java, Node.js, or similar) and modern front‑end technologies (for example, React, Vue, or similar).
• Experience with Azure services (App Services, Functions, storage, databases, monitoring, etc.) or another major cloud provider and willingness to work primarily in Azure.
• Comfortable using AI‑assisted coding tools (such as Claude‑style code assistants, GitHub Copilot, etc.) as a core part of your workflow.
• Strong understanding of application and data security best practices, including secure coding, least‑privilege access, encryption in transit and at rest, and handling of sensitive client data.
• Experience working with relational databases and designing schemas for multi‑tenant or multi‑client systems.
• Ability to work independently, make pragmatic tradeoffs, and communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical team members.

Nice to Have

• Experience in logistics, supply chain, or inventory management systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Experience refactoring legacy code and incrementally modernizing existing platforms.
