Job description
The Cloud DevOps Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud-based solutions for embedded and application software systems. This position requires a strong foundation in DevOps practices, extensive experience with automation and orchestration tools, and expertise in embedding DevSecOps principles across workflows. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and adherence to industry standards and regulations will be crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and GitLab.
- Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and Ansible.
- Automate build and deployment pipelines for embedded systems, including firmware and FPGA codebases.
- Manage and deploy cloud services on AWS or equivalent platforms, ensuring seamless integration with hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Administer artifact repositories (e.g., Nexus, JFrog) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Implement DevSecOps practices, including security tools for credential management and vulnerability scanning.
- Collaborate with software teams to align workflows and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations such as ITAR, CMMC, and NIST frameworks.
Requirements:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in DevOps, with a focus on CI/DC pipelines and infrastructure automation.
- Technical Expertise:
- CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, or GitHub.
- IaC Tools: Terraform, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation, or equivalent.
- Cloud Platforms: AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) or comparable services in Azure/GCP.
- Embedded Systems: C/C++, FPGA toolchains, and cross-compilation.
- Security Tools: HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, SonarQube, Checkmarx.
- Skills:
- Networking: VPN configurations, hybrid cloud integrations, and CA management.
- System Administration: Linux and Windows automation using Bash and PowerShell.
- Collaboration: Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced certifications such as Terraform Associate, AWS DevOps Engineer, or CISSP.
- Expertise with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, AWS ECS/EKS).
- Advanced knowledge of DevSecOps tools (Trivy, Anchore) and practices.
- Familiarity with OTA updates for embedded firmware.
- Leadership experience in mentoring and promoting best practices.
- Regulatory expertise in CMMC compliance and STIG environments.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
