Perform a migration/upgrade of a RHEL 7 data intake server to RHEL 8/9:
Communicate and coordinate with IT and end-user personnel
Investigate and document all current functions performed on the server
Devise and produce a testing/validation procedure to ensure all functionality and data are preserved following the migration/upgrade
Devise a detailed plan for migration/upgrade which prevents data loss as remote systems transfer files regularly to the server
Execute the migration/upgrade plan and validation procedure
Requirements:
10+ years of experience as a Linux system administrator
Familiarity with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 and newer
Familiarity with shell scripting, cron
Familiarity with SSH, including SFTP, tunneling, public/private keys
