IT Manager

Location: Kalamazoo, MI (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: $75,000-$97,000

The IT Manager will provide direct oversight of software development, data analysis, reporting, and process automation initiatives. In addition to supervising IT staff, you will play a hands-on role in designing and developing solutions focused on business intelligence, decision support, and data visualization to enhance the effectiveness of services provided by our organization.

Essential Job Functions of the IT Manager:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a small but highly skilled technical team including a Senior Software Developer and a Data Analyst.

  • Technology Strategy: Support enterprise-wide technology initiatives, particularly in Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps), SQL Server, and data visualization/reporting.

  • Project Management: Lead cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution using platforms such as Monday.com.

  • Solution Development: Architect and implement business intelligence and automation tools to streamline internal operations.

  • Collaboration: Act as a liaison between IT and other departments, gathering requirements and managing the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

  • Operational Support: Provide guidance and support to ensure data integrity, security, and operational efficiency in collaboration with infrastructure teams.


Required Experience of the IT Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred; equivalent experience considered).

  • Proven leadership experience in IT, preferably in healthcare or government environments.

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with:

    • Microsoft SQL Server (complex queries, stored procedures, DBA responsibilities).

    • Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps).

    • Data visualization and reporting tools.

  • Familiarity with project management platforms (e.g., Monday.com).

  • Ability to mentor junior team members and foster professional growth.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and present to non-technical stakeholders.
