Job description
Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust, secure, and scalable cloud applications and infrastructure. You will lead software automation initiatives, mentor junior team members, and collaborate with operations teams to streamline Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and cloud deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with management on the operational requirements of software solutions.
- Manage the installation and configuration of solutions.
- Oversee routine maintenance procedures and perform diagnostic tests.
- Document processes and monitor performance metrics.
- Conforming to best practice in software-defined network administration and cybersecurity.
- Systems architect, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multiple platforms.
- Design and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP) with scalability and cost-efficiency in mind.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Ensure system reliability, availability, and performance through monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
- Oversee security best practices, including vulnerability scanning and compliance monitoring.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct code/review sessions for automation scripts and infrastructure changes.
- Drive adoption of DevOps best practices across teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years in DevOps/SRE or related roles.
- Strong experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, CloudFormation).
- Strong scripting skills (Python, JSON, and/or PowerShell).
- Expertise in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Solid knowledge of networking, security, and system administration (Linux/Unix, Cisco).
- Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Datadog).
- Proven ability to design and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
Education
- BS Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications: AWS, Azure Cloud
Nice-to-Have
- Master’s Degree
- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid environments.
- Knowledge of cost optimization in cloud infrastructure.
- Familiarity with serverless architectures.
- Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Background in compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, etc.).

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
