Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer specializing in Healthcare IT to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based infrastructure solutions supporting healthcare applications and services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cloud computing platforms, automation tools, and enterprise software to ensure seamless deployment, integration, and operation of healthcare IT systems within a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, and TFS to streamline software deployment processes.
  • Architect and maintain cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, and OpenStack, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
  • Automate configuration management using Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform, and PowerShell scripts to optimize system provisioning and updates.
  • Manage containerization and orchestration with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and VMware virtualization technologies for scalable microservices deployment.
  • Monitor system performance with tools such as New Relic, Splunk, Elasticsearch, and Log analysis platforms to ensure optimal operation of healthcare applications.
  • Oversee enterprise software systems including WebSphere, Weblogic, JBoss, Tomcat, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle databases, and MySQL for robust backend support.
  • Implement security best practices including firewall management, identity & access management (IAM), DNS security measures, and cloud security protocols.
  • Troubleshoot software issues related to distributed systems, web services (RESTful APIs), network administration (TCP/IP), and system administration tasks across Linux/Unix/Windows environments.
  • Collaborate with development teams on requirements gathering, system testing, release management, incident response/recovery plans, and SDLC adherence for healthcare applications.
  • Provide technical support for enterprise software troubleshooting and incident management while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role within Healthcare IT or enterprise environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud computing platforms including AWS (S3), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure; virtualization technologies like VMware; container orchestration with Kubernetes; automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef; scripting languages including Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell, Python; and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components such as DNS, TCP/IP networks (WAN/LAN), Active Directory/Identity & Access Management systems.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise middleware like WebSphere Application Server (WAS), Weblogic Server; databases including SQL Server (T-SQL), Oracle PL/SQL; web servers like NGINX; and microservices architecture utilizing RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and incident response procedures in healthcare environments.
  • Knowledge of security protocols related to cloud security measures and network security best practices.
  • Ability to manage distributed systems at scale with a focus on high availability and fault tolerance in compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong communication abilities to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams. This position requires candidates to work in-office 3 days per week in the Raleigh, NC area. Candidates must be US Citizens or Green Card holders. NO visa sponsorship is available.

Pay: $92,447.60 - $111,334.75 per year
