Trissential is hiring on behalf of our client for a long-term remote opportunity where you’ll take over a high-impact Terraform implementation currently managed by an expensive external vendor. Your Role & Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Migrate and optimize existing infrastructure to Terraform-managed environments
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance infrastructure performance and reliability
• Document infrastructure standards, processes, and best practices
• Provide mentorship and guidance on DevOps and IaC practices

Skills & Experience You Should Possess

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering roles
• Deep expertise in Terraform (HCL, modules, state management, remote backends)
• Strong experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines for CI/CD automation
• Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred)
• Experience with Git-based workflows and version control

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience replacing or optimizing third-party infrastructure services
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor

Education & Certifications You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Terraform or Azure certifications are a plus (e.g., HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate, AZ-400)
