Position Overview

Stellar is seeking a DevOps & Analytics Engineer to support our continued growth and investment in technology-driven innovation. This role will combine DevOps engineering with advanced analytics capabilities, working closely with business users within Asset Management, Property Management, Construction, Development, and Research. Stellar currently utilizes DOMO as our BI platform.

The DevOps & Analytics Engineer will design, implement, and manage infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and data pipelines, as well as develop dashboards and data models to support decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

DevOps Engineering

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software builds, testing, and deployments.
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure for scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Automate system administration tasks and monitor system performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring high availability and uptime.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices across the development and operations lifecycle.

Analytics Engineering

  • Gather and understand business requirements from various departments and partner with leadership to support key initiatives.
  • Design and implement data pipelines for collecting, processing, and storing data from various sources.
  • Develop and maintain data warehouses and data lakes.
  • Analyze property-level, corporate, construction, and market data, transforming raw information into structured datasets optimized for reporting and insights.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions in DOMO and other BI tools.
  • Develop SQL queries, automated data pipelines, and integrations to support real-time operational monitoring.
  • Monitor data quality and implement data governance practices.
  • Provide training and documentation to end users on how to access, interpret, and leverage reporting tools.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Work closely with development, operations, and data teams to ensure alignment and efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues.
  • Document processes, configurations, and best practices.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (preferably in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, or related fields).
  • Proven experience in a DevOps and/or analytics engineering role.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and tools.
  • Experience with cloud platforms.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, NodeJS).
  • Experience with data warehousing and data pipeline tools.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience with data visualization tools.
  • Understanding of data modeling and pipeline best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
  • Experience with data analysis and machine learning concepts.
  • Certifications in cloud platforms or DevOps technologies.
  • Experience in query optimization, performance tuning, and process automation.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
