About the Role

We're building a web-based document processing system that combines OCR, frontend upload tools, and backend automation to streamline form handling — especially for small clinics and offices.

You'll collaborate directly with a founder-led team to design, build, and deploy an MVP over the next 4–6 weeks.

What You'll Do

• Build and refine a full-stack web application (React + Node.js + MongoDB)
• Integrate OCR pipelines and autofill logic for scanned forms
• Create intuitive interfaces for uploading, reviewing, and editing records

Requirements

• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, especially Node.js and React
• Able to work independently and execute efficiently
• Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL solutions
• Familiarity with Express, RESTful APIs, and middleware architecture
• Not requiring sponsorships - U.S citizens and Permanent residents only

Bonus Skills

• Experience with OCR libraries (e.g. Tesseract.js, Python tools)
• Background working with founders or small startup teams
• Exposure to small business tools or medical documentation workflows
• Light experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or automated deployment

Work Style

• Flexible hours — we focus on outcomes, not time-tracking
• Communicate directly with the founder (fast iterations, no bureaucracy)
• Remote-first, but ideally based in California for timezone alignment

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
