DevOps Engineer

Digital Enterprise Solutions, Inc. (DESI) is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This is a Full-time (Regular) Exempt (Salary) remote telework position. Candidates must be located within the contiguous United States with the ideal candidate located in the Eastern or Central time zone.

ROLES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop DevOps functionality for CI/CD pipeline solutions.
  • Improve and maintain GitLab pipeline configurations.
  • Collaborate and assist Software Engineers with the design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Assist with GitLab upgrades as received from the vendor (i.e. bi-weekly, monthly, etc.; requires evening support.
  • Onboard new applications/customers to the CI/CD environment.
  • Provide recommendations for technology advancement to streamline CI/CD tools and processes.
  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting to applications and systems deployed within a DevOps CI/CD pipeline.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve pipeline issues.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered for this position, you must meet the education and experience listed below:
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • BA/BS and 3 years related experience performing the roles/responsibilities listed above -OR- AA/AS degree and 7 years related experience performing the roles/responsibilities listed above -OR- HS/GED and 9 years related experience performing the roles/responsibilities listed above.
  • A bachelor's or associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar is preferred.
  • College degrees must be obtained from an accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
  • Demonstrated strong CI/CD design, development, and implementation experience with GitLab.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced technical environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including experience preparing technical guidance, how-to instructions, training material, test plans and preparing and conducting demonstrations and/or training to technical stakeholders.
  • US Citizenship is required due to US government contract requirement.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance (interim required to start).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates with experience or knowledge in these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
  • Experience with specific CI/CD related tools such as GitLab Ultimate, Nexus, DORA metrics, and Prisma Cloud (formerly Twistlock).
  • Active SECRET clearance.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The compensation range is based on industry compensation data and/or position budget and reflects our commitment to transparency and fairness:
  • The annual base compensation range is $100,000 to $130,000, commensurate with education, certifications, and experience.
  • Other compensation may include discretionary bonuses, referral rewards, and spot awards.
