Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security of all network services. This role requires a strong understanding of computer networking, system administration, and network security practices. The Network Administrator will work collaboratively with other IT professionals to support our organization's technology needs.
Duties
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, and VPN configurations.
- Implement and monitor network security measures using firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and encryption protocols.
- Configure and manage Cisco ASA firewalls, Cisco ISE for identity management, and other network devices.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and system hardening to protect against potential threats.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers running Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu, openSUSE, Windows, and other operating systems.
- Utilize scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation of routine tasks and system management.
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, or Splunk to ensure optimal operation.
- Collaborate with development teams on Agile projects to ensure seamless integration of network services with applications.
- Provide technical support for network-related issues and assist in troubleshooting connectivity problems.
- Document network architecture and configurations for future reference.
Experience
- Proven experience in network administration or a related field with a strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP), and VLANs.
- Familiarity with RAID controllers, SAN technologies, load balancing solutions, and high availability setups.
- Experience with cloud services such as AWS or Azure is a plus.
- Knowledge of authentication protocols (LDAP, SSO) and encryption methods (SSL/TLS).
- Proficiency in managing virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere or Citrix environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex issues quickly.
- Experience with system administration tasks across various operating systems including Linux distributions (Debian, CentOS) and Windows environments. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
