Commercial Lighting Controls Specialist

Whitley Recruiting, on behalf of its client, is seeking a dynamic Lighting Controls Specialist in/near Charlotte. The hired candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling lighting controls products to lighting designers, interior designers, electrical engineers, architects, and other specifiers. Also included is working with electrical distributors and contractors to ensure each project receives the appropriate in-field and remote support. Travel to job sites, perform startup services, and facilitate pre-construction and owner training opportunities. This role requires a deep understanding of lighting controls products and the ability to build strong relationships with key decision-makers. This is a mature business—and it is still growing. Key Responsibilities:

● Develop and maintain relationships with lighting designers, interior designers, electrical engineers, architects, and other specifiers

● Present and promote our lighting controls products to potential clients

● Provide technical support and product information to clients

● Collaborate with the sales team to achieve sales targets

● Attend industry events and trade shows to network and promote our products

Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Integrative Technology, or a related field preferred

● 3+ years of experience in lighting sales or a related industry

● Strong communication and presentation skills

● Ability to travel across Greater Charlotte and Western North Carolina

● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
