About the Role:

We’re hiring experienced GCP DevOps Engineers to support a large-scale AWS to GCP infrastructure migration for a major enterprise client. You will work closely with engineering teams to design, implement, and optimize cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform.

This is a remote contract opportunity with strong potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead or support the migration of infrastructure from AWS to GCP
• Deploy and manage GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) clusters and containerized applications
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, Cloud Deploy, and GitHub Actions
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Ensure proper monitoring, logging, and alerting using GCP-native tools
• Collaborate with DevOps, security, and application teams to enforce best practices and compliance

Required Skills & Experience:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Strong expertise with GKE, VPC, IAM, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloud Build
• 4–6 years of Terraform experience (module creation, IaC standardization)
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes, container orchestration, and Helm
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, CircleCI)
• Familiarity with DevSecOps, security policy automation, and compliance frameworks
• Excellent communication and remote collaboration skills

Preferred Certifications:

• Google Cloud Certified – Associate Cloud Engineer or higher
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (bonus)

Contract Details:

• Remote - (EST/PST hours)
• Competitive hourly rates (based on experience)
• Independent contractors or corp-to-corp welcome

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
