We're looking for a passionate and skilled Web Developer to join our team responsible for building fast, modern, and user-focused websites for our network of local news stations.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain responsive, accessible, and high-performance websites using Svelte, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.

Work with backend teams to integrate RESTful APIs and content feeds.

Collaborate with designers and product managers to implement user-centric features and iterate based on analytics and feedback.

Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architecture discussions to ensure scalable and maintainable codebases.

Help establish and promote best practices in modern web development (component-driven development, performance tuning, SEO, accessibility).

Contribute to the migration of legacy codebases into modular, modern web stacks.

Requirements:

3 years of experience building modern web applications with strong JavaScript fundamentals.

Experience in Svelte, React, Vue, or other component-based front-end frameworks.

Understanding of performance optimization techniques (Core Web Vitals, lazy loading, etc.).

Familiarity with responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.

Comfort working in agile teams and collaborating across engineering, product, and design.

Pay: $98,081.76 - $138,981.06 per year
