Summary
We are seeking a Director of Information Technology to lead our IT department at HCC Network. This pivotal role will oversee the development and implementation of technology strategies that support our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services. The position is based in Lexington, MO.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with HCC Network's goals
- Manage IT infrastructure, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and efficient
- Ensure IT capacity planning meets the demands of growing rural clinic operations
- Oversee budgeting for IT projects and initiatives, ensuring cost-effective solutions
- Responsible for maintaining secure, functional, and accessible IT systems to support healthcare delivery across all locations
- Lead a small team of IT professionals in delivering high-quality support and services
- Implement cloud computing solutions to enhance operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations related to information technology
- Collaborate with HCC leadership and clinical teams to identify technology needs and opportunities for improvement with patient-centered and HIPAA-compliant solutions
- Respond to escalated Help Desk issues and provide training on new technologies to ensure staff comfort and confidence
- Regularly assess and report on IT system health, vulnerabilities, and performance to the CIO and/or CEO
- Participate in organizational planning and support special projects as assigned
- Champion digital equity efforts by identifying solutions to overcome technology access barriers in rural populations
Requirements
- Experience in IT with progressive responsibilities
- College degree and/or IT certifications are a plus
- Proven experience in IT management roles, preferably within the healthcare sector
- Experience evaluating, implementing, and managing IT systems
- Familiarity with technology needs of rural or community-based health centers strongly preferred
- Experience with server management and IT infrastructure development
- Excellent budgeting skills and experience managing IT budgets effectively
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop team members
- Demonstrated ability to align IT strategy with the mission and values of a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or similar nonprofit healthcare setting
- Broad understanding of tech theories, trends, and applications with the ability to assess and recommend emerging technologies that are cost-effective and scalable for rural settings
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration a plus
- Strong understanding of infrastructure systems, including hardware/software, WAN/LAN networks, cybersecurity, and cloud-based solutions
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to lead a small but dynamic team
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and rural communities
- Ability to travel to various HCC Network locations in rural Missouri
- Valid Missouri Driver’s License
