Data Analyst – Personnel Security

Location: Alexandria, VA (USPTO HQ, with telework eligibility)
Clearance: Public Trust
Salary Range (Washington, DC Metro): $75,000 – $120,000 (commensurate with experience)

About the Role:
We are seeking a Data Analyst to support the USPTO’s Personnel Security Branch. The analyst will focus on data collection, trend analysis, and program metrics to strengthen personnel security operations.

Responsibilities:

• Compile and analyze case-level personnel security data and performance metrics.
• Develop dashboards and reports to track workload, timeliness, and backlog.
• Identify trends to improve process efficiency and quality.
• Provide ad-hoc reports and data calls to agency leadership and auditors.
• Support the Quality Assurance and Surveillance Plan (QASP) through data monitoring.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in federal program data analysis.
• Strong skills in Excel, data visualization tools, and SQL (preferred).
• Ability to synthesize large datasets into actionable insights.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
