Our longtime client, an Employer of Choice in New England, is seeking a seasoned iSeries/AS400 Developer with deep experience in Infinium Financial systems. This role is critical to supporting their Finance and Employee Services teams. They are looking for someone who can contribute immediately and take ownership of technical projects with minimal ramp-up time.

The position reports to their office in Springfield MA a minimum of 3 days per week. To be clear, this is a contract to permanent arrangement starting with a 6 month contract duration. If your preference is contract only or permanent only, they may be open to that as well for an exceptional candidate fit.

In this role, you will:

• Collaborate directly with business units to gather and define technical requirements
• Design, develop, and maintain solutions within the Infinium Financial suite on the iSeries/AS400 platform
• Document and implement technical solutions to support financial operations and compliance
• Partner with end users to test and validate changes or enhancements

- Lead and execute Infor software updates to ensure system - compliance and stability

• Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and performance tuning

Key Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience with Infinium Financial systems
• Proficiency in development and maintenance on the IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform
• Understanding of financial and regulatory compliance requirements
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams, especially Finance and Employee Services
• Ability to hit the ground running and manage tasks independently

Preferred Experience:

• Familiarity with IBM i languages such as RPG, CL, COBOL
• Experience with Infor patching and release cycles
• Previous support of enterprise financial systems or HR modules is a plus
