Human Active Technology (HAT) is seeking a highly skilled and solutions-driven Senior Systems Administrator. This position is a critical technical leadership role responsible for the stability, performance, and security of our core IT infrastructure across a dynamic manufacturing environment. Based in Easton, PA, the Senior Systems Administrator will oversee everything from servers and networks to cloud systems and cybersecurity protocols—while also acting as the go-to expert for escalated help desk support. About the Role
The Senior Systems Administrator is the backbone of our IT infrastructure. From managing physical and virtual servers to fortifying cybersecurity and disaster recovery processes, you’ll architect and optimize the systems that keep our business running. You’ll work side-by-side with department heads and lead infrastructure projects that impact our entire organization, especially in a high-performance manufacturing environment where uptime is non-negotiable.
What You’ll Do
- Design, configure, and maintain enterprise server environments (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Build and secure our LAN/WAN networks, including firewalls, switches, VPNs, VLANs
- Manage cloud services including Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance to maintain 99.99% uptime
- Implement and enforce security hardening, patches, and disaster recovery protocols
- Lead infrastructure projects and technology rollouts across the organization
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated help desk issues (hardware, software, phones, printers, email)
- Mentor junior IT team members and partner with them to resolve technical issues efficiently
- Ensure compliance with internal IT policies, data retention laws, and licensing requirements
- Maintain and create clear technical documentation and network architecture diagrams
What You Bring to the Table
A qualified candidate will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent hands-on experience
- 5+ years of systems/network administration experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role
- Deep expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and Group Policy
- Strong understanding of network protocols, routing/switching, firewall configurations
- Proficiency with virtualization tools (VMware or Hyper-V)
- Fluency in cloud ecosystems—Azure, Microsoft 365, AWS
- Scripting skills (PowerShell preferred)
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, SOC2, etc.)
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and interpersonal skills
Bonus points for certifications like:
- Cisco CCNA or higher
- Microsoft Azure Administrator
- CompTIA Security+ / Network+
- VMware Certified Professional
