Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our network infrastructure, ensuring robust network security, and supporting various systems. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to enhancing network performance and reliability.
Duties
- Manage and monitor the organization's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Implement and maintain network security measures to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime for users.
- Configure and manage OSPF routing protocols to optimize network performance.
- Conduct system hardening practices to enhance the security of all network devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various projects involving network design and implementation.
- Utilize Python scripting for automation of routine tasks and reporting.
- Monitor IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems) for potential threats and take appropriate action.
- Provide support for Fedora, Solaris, and ESXi environments as needed.
- Document all network configurations, changes, and procedures for future reference.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role within IT.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols and networking concepts.
- Familiarity with Meraki products is a plus.
- Experience with system hardening techniques and best practices in network security.
- Knowledge of IDS systems and their implementation in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in Python scripting for automation purposes is preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Pay: $87,060.00 - $93,193.00 per year
