JOBSUMMARY

The Sr. Systems/Application Security Analyst is responsible for analyzing and responding to security incidents and identifying, isolating and addressing vulnerabilities. This role requires a security-oriented mentality, a high degree of ownership and the ability to focus on managing and proactively resolving security issues.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• 3+ years advanced Systems Engineering experience, including hardening and patching Linux and Windows virtual servers
• 3+ years experience patching network firewalls, routers and switches
• 3+ years experience managing GCP security elements, including Firewall Rules, Security Command Center and GCP Ops Agents.
• 3+ years experience using Wireshark (or similar tool) to review and analyze mirrored traffic
• Comfortable querying GCP Firewall Logs
• Experience with providing guidance on security best practices for containerization, GKE, DevOps toolsets and Security Code Reviews
• 3+ years of experience in Cyber Security and Incident Response
• CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) and CompTIA Network+ (or equivalent)
• Cloud experience (GCP preferred)
• Able to review and advise on the security implications of CI/CD pipelines, Cloud Architecture and network topologies
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Respond to alerts and initiate incident response
• Run reports against Active Directory, G Suite and other systems to ensure permissions align with RBAC
• Monitor firewall, IPS and IDS logs; alert on anomalies
• Track patching on Operating Systems and hardware
• Administer Rapid7 MDR
• Manage Sophos EDR/AV
• Takes ownership and responsibility of the granular components of security governance
• Perform other tasks and duties assigned by manager

Compensation: $120,000 to $140,000 annual base pay
