Job Title: Azure Engineer / Cloud Architect – Build & Migration Focus
Location: Cincinnati, OH (Hybrid – Primarily Onsite)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Engineer / Cloud Architect to lead cloud buildouts, migrations, and modernization initiatives across multiple client environments. This is a hands-on, architecture-level role focused on designing and deploying production-grade Microsoft Azure environments, not long-term maintenance.

The ideal candidate has deep experience across Azure infrastructure, networking, hybrid identity, and migration strategy, with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced MSP-style environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Azure Architecture & Implementation

• Design and deploy scalable Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions
• Lead infrastructure, server, and application migrations to Azure
• Architect subscriptions, governance models, and management groups
• Implement secure and optimized Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, VPN, ExpressRoute)
• Configure hybrid identity using Azure AD / Entra ID
• Execute lift-and-shift and modernization initiatives
• Optimize Azure SKUs for performance and cost efficiency

Infrastructure & Hybrid Support

• Support Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization
• Troubleshoot Azure, firewall, and networking issues
• Participate in on-call rotation for cloud and network operations
• Work within ITIL-aligned ITSM frameworks and SLA-driven environments
• Document standards and build repeatable deployment patterns

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years Infrastructure Engineering experience
• 3+ years hands-on Azure deployment experience
• Experience designing new Azure environments
• Strong Azure networking expertise (VNets, VPN, peering, firewall)
• Experience with hybrid cloud & on-prem to Azure migrations
• Strong understanding of Azure compute, storage tiers, security services

Preferred Qualifications

• Azure Solutions Architect-level exposure
• Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep)
• Azure Backup & Disaster Recovery
• Microsoft Defender & Sentinel
• Experience in Managed Services or consulting

Pay: $52.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
