Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Donor Database Manager to lead the development, maintenance, and optimization of our donor management systems. This pivotal role involves managing complex databases to ensure accurate, secure, and efficient handling of donor information. Duties
- Oversee the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of donor databases using platforms such as Donor Direct.
- Develop and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes utilizing tools like SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) to ensure accurate data integration from multiple sources.
- Perform performance tuning and optimization of database systems to support high availability and responsiveness during peak operational periods.
- Write advanced SQL queries, PL/SQL scripts, shell scripts (Bash), and other scripting solutions to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency.
- Conduct regular database backups, disaster recovery planning, and security audits to safeguard sensitive donor information.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable database architectures aligned with organizational growth and evolving needs.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues promptly, and implement enhancements for optimal database operation.
Requirements
- Proven experience with database administration across multiple platforms including Donor Direct.
- Strong knowledge of SQL programming, PL/SQL scripting, shell scripting (Bash), and ETL processes.
- Expertise in performance tuning techniques for high availability environments with large datasets.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line tools for database management.
- Hands-on experience with database design principles to support scalable and secure data structures.
- Ability to develop automation scripts using Shell Scripting or other scripting languages to streamline workflows.
