Overview
The Telecommunications Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing the telecommunications systems and infrastructure within the organization. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise in various telecommunications technologies and platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability of services, implementing security measures, and facilitating seamless communication across all departments.

Duties

• Manage and maintain telecommunications systems, including voice, data, and video communications.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Ensure high availability of telecommunications services through effective monitoring and maintenance practices.
• Implement security measures including Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) to protect network integrity.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate cloud services using platforms like AWS.
• Provide remote access solutions to support telecommuting needs for employees.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to network configurations, policies, and procedures.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance the telecommunications infrastructure.

Skills

• Proficiency in CentOS and Ubuntu operating systems.
• Experience with remote access software to facilitate secure connections for remote workers.
• Knowledge of high availability systems to ensure continuous service delivery.
• Familiarity with Juniper networking equipment and configurations.
• Strong understanding of Linux environments for system management.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple projects effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on proactive solutions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $86,453.00 - $91,605.00 per year
