Role: React/ Java Engineer

Terms: Contract to hire

Locations: Remote

Wage: Based on experience

Capstone IT is helping our client to find a Software Engineer with strong expertise in front-end development using React, as well as backend skills in Java/Spring Boot and UI design experience. This is a 6-month contract role with a potential for hire. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of enterprise experience working with modern JavaScript frameworks, agile teams, and CI/CD environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop responsive front-end solutions using React.
  • Collaborate on UI/UX improvements and designs.
  • Work with backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Groovy.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to iterative development.
  • Integrate applications with RESTful APIs, AWS microservices, and third-party tools.
  • Use CI/CD tools for build automation and deployment.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of front-end development experience focused on React and JavaScript (ES6+).
  • UI design background, ideally with experience in Angular.
  • Proficient in backend development using Java, Spring Boot.
  • Familiar with agile methodologies and tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience with GitHub Actions/Workflows, container-based development (TKG preferred), and MuleSoft.
