Position Summary
The IT Administrator is responsible for the internal administration, support, and coordination of the company’s technology environment. This role serves as the primary point of contact for employees on IT-related matters, manages hardware and software provisioning, and partners closely with the Managed Service Provider (MSP) to ensure timely resolution of technical issues. The IT Administrator also supports cybersecurity initiatives and employee training to maintain a secure and efficient technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
Internal Systems & Technology Administration
- Administer and maintain internal technology systems, including user access, device management, and software tools.
- Provision, configure, and deploy company hardware and software for new hires, role changes, and offboarding.
- Maintain accurate inventory and documentation of company technology assets.
- Assist with system updates, access reviews, and routine technology audits.
IT Support & MSP Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for employees experiencing IT or system-related issues.
- Triage and resolve basic IT issues directly and escalate more complex issues to the MSP as needed.
- Coordinate with the MSP to ensure timely resolution of incidents, requests, and system outages.
- Track issues, follow up on open tickets, and communicate status updates to employees.
Cybersecurity Support
- Partner with the Cybersecurity team to support security initiatives, policies, and best practices.
- Assist with cybersecurity training programs, employee awareness campaigns, and compliance requirements.
- Support implementation and monitoring of security controls such as MFA, endpoint protection, and access management.
- Participate in periodic security reviews, audits, and incident response activities as needed.
Process Improvement & Documentation
- Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and user guides.
- Identify opportunities to improve IT processes, system reliability, and employee experience.
- Support ongoing technology projects and initiatives as the organization grows.
Qualifications
Required
- 2–4 years of experience in IT administration, systems support, or a similar role.
- Experience supporting end users in a remote or hybrid work environment.
- Familiarity with coordinating IT support through a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
- Working knowledge of hardware provisioning, software deployment, and access management.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer-service mindset.
Preferred
- Experience with MDM tools, ticketing systems, and cloud-based environments.
- Exposure to cybersecurity training programs or compliance initiatives.
- Prior experience supporting multi-state or distributed teams.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
