Job description

Summary:

The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of all Orchard View computer systems and servers. They will provide project management and technical support during the business off season, and maintain system availability during cherry, plum and prune harvest. Their work will ultimately lead toward limiting technical disruptions within the company and updating the IT infrastructure as needed.

Essential Technical Duties and Responsibilities:

· Lead IT functions and projects

· Network: Manage, install, and configure routers, switches, and wireless equipment

· Security: Maintain a secure software, hardware, and domain environment. Manage Cyber Security Awareness Program

· Virtualization: Hyper-V Management, Windows Server Environment

· Broadband Wireless: Maintain, upgrade and/or expand Remote Wireless network for labor housing.

· Backup and Recovery: Verify integrity of daily, weekly & monthly backups.

· Production: Support all technical aspects of production environment (Receiving, Packing, Shipping)

· Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner.

· Manage computer availability and OS update compliance.

· Manage & maintain company server room.

· Communicate with Software Vendors as needed.

· Mobile device management, i.e., tablets, handheld scanners, iPads, etc. and associated data plans.

· Provide process improvements and present them to manager/management

Skills and Qualifications:

· Computer Science degree preferred, in lieu of degree, a combination of professional experience and/or certifications may be considered (i.e., computer programming and language, internet and website development and IT pathway).

· MaaS360 experience preferred.

· Microsoft Office 365

· VoIP phone system administration

· Squarespace website administration

· Ongoing education and certification required to stay current in field.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

· Maintain organized and detailed documentation

· Strong interpersonal skills.

· Ability to learn new applications and create standards for training end users.

· Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques for computers, printers, peripherals, client-server applications, network connectivity and desktop application issues.

· Experience with Windows Domain Controller & LDAP.

· Experience with wired and wireless networking.

· Windows File Server knowledge.

· Windows DHCP experience.

· Windows DNS experience.

· Windows Hyper-V experience

· Ability to install network cable preferred.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time and on occasion will be required to kneel, crouch, bend and climb

· Ability to lift 50 lbs.

· Ability to climb 30’ tower

· Must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include heat, humidity and cold

· Requires sufficient sight and hearing to perform all job duties

· Willingness to train in scissor lift operation
