Senior Network Engineer

Location: Bountiful Utah
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (occasional evenings/weekends; on-call rotation every ~11 weeks) - Schedule can be flexible

NetCuras, Salt Lake City’s premier Managed Service Provider, is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our Network Engineering team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled networking professional who combines deep technical expertise with excellent communication skills and a strong customer-service mindset.

You will work closely with customers and internal teams to design, support, and optimize complex network environments while helping drive best practices and continuous improvement across our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and manage customer network environments, ensuring high availability and performance
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with customers
  • Design, implement, support, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure, including:
  • Cisco routers
  • Cisco, Aruba, and Arista switches
  • Cisco and Aruba wireless controllers
  • Cisco, Palo Alto, and Fortinet firewalls
  • F5 load balancers
  • Clearpass and ISE
  • Architect and troubleshoot routing technologies such as SD-WAN, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, VRFs, and related protocols
  • Design and support switching technologies including trunks, EtherChannel, Spanning Tree, DHCP Snooping, and vxlan
  • Provide firewall, VPN, and network incident response and troubleshooting under time-sensitive conditions
  • Perform regular network and security monitoring to identify potential issues or intrusions
  • Document network configurations, diagrams, and procedures clearly and accurately
  • Monitor network performance, anticipate issues, and recommend proactive solutions
  • Manage incidents and tasks through a ticketing system
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes, tools, and service delivery
  • Stay current on emerging technologies through training, research, and professional development
  • Assist with network security design and integration
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • CCNP or CCIE certification, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience implementing, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure
  • Expert-level experience with firewalls, VPN’s, routers, switches, wireless access points, controllers, and monitoring tools
  • Experience deploying and maintaining enterprise campus Wi-Fi networks
  • Ability to document, diagram, and clearly explain existing and proposed network designs
  • Proven ability to communicate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year

Education:

License/Certification:
