Objective
This position is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data architectures, pipelines, and AI/ML solutions that enable the organization to leverage data for strategic decision-making and automation. The Data Engineer and AI Developer plays a key role in managing data infrastructure, implementing machine learning models, and deploying intelligent systems that drive business value across departments.
Summary
This role requires an innovative, technically skilled data professional with the ability to build and maintain end-to-end data and AI solutions. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical, programming, and problem-solving skills and will work collaboratively with IT and business stakeholders to transform raw data into actionable insights through automation, analytics, and AI-driven applications.
Essential Functions
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data architectures, including data lakes, warehouses, and streaming systems to support AI/ML workloads.
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for large structured and unstructured datasets to prepare data for analysis and model deployment.
- Build, train, and test machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI models to solve specific business challenges.
- Implement and maintain MLOps practices, including deploying, monitoring, and managing ML models in production environments.
- Ensure data integrity through quality and validation frameworks; apply ethical, security, and compliance standards in data and AI workflows.
- Develop and maintain Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines for large language model (LLM) applications.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to translate business requirements into technical data and AI solutions.
- Continuously monitor and improve performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of data systems and AI pipelines.
- Develop reports and dashboards in Power BI, leveraging advanced data modeling and transformation techniques.
- Perform other related assignments or special projects as requested by management.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in data engineering and AI/ML development, with successful projects deployed to production.
- High proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience using frameworks such as NumPy, Pandas, PySpark, and Matplotlib.
- Strong experience with Azure data and AI services.
- Proficiency with big data and cloud platforms such as Apache Spark, Kafka, or Kinesis.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery).
- Familiarity with MLOps tools and practices (MLflow, Docker, Kubernetes).
- High proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including Power Query and advanced data modeling techniques.

Pay: $103,519.11 - $124,668.17 per year
