Position: Prompt Engineer Location: San Jose - California (Hybrid)Duration: Contract Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Prompt Engineer to design optimize and evaluate prompts for large language models LLMs The ideal candidate has strong analytical ability excellent communication skills and experience working with generative AI tools such as GPT Claude LLaMA or similar This role involves collaborating with product engineering and research teams to build intelligent contextaware AIdriven solutions

Key Responsibilities

Develop test and refine highquality prompts templates and workflows for LLMbased applications

Analyze model outputs to improve accuracy reasoning quality and reliability

Work closely with product and engineering teams to integrate prompts into production systems

Create prompt libraries evaluation frameworks and best practices

Conduct research on prompt patterns chainofthought structuring and model behaviors

Implement RAG pipelines contextual grounding techniques and content moderation strategies

Troubleshoot model failures hallucinations and edge cases

Document prompt logic test results and process improvements

Stay updated with the latest advancements in LLMs prompt engineering and AI safety
