Job description
Abrazo Group's client - Stern Pinball
Stern Pinball is leading the charge in merging the excitement of physical pinball with the limitless possibilities of connected, digital play. Our next-generation gaming platform brings together collectors, players, and fans worldwide offering immersive gameplay, community interaction, and seamless in-platform purchasing.
We’re looking for a talented UX/UI Designer who can help us elevate the player experience across devices and environments. This is your chance to design for an ecosystem where mechanical pinball meets online gaming, e-commerce, and interactive community features.
What You’ll Do
- Shape a Multi-Modal Experience: Design intuitive, user-centered experiences that connect physical pinball machines to our digital and mobile platforms.
- Optimize Platform Usability: Improve accessibility, usability, and delight across devices to keep players engaged.
- Enhance Monetization Journeys: Partner with product and marketing to design purchase and subscription flows that feel natural and rewarding.
- Lead UX Research: Drive user interviews, competitive analysis, heuristic reviews, and usability testing to guide decisions.
- Prototype & Iterate: Create wireframes, prototypes, and interaction models to test and refine features.
- Craft Beautiful, Functional Interfaces: Build polished UI designs that match our brand and inspire gameplay and community participation.
- Champion Accessibility & Inclusivity: Implement WCAG 2.2 AA standards, inclusive design, and accessibility testing into every feature.
- Data-Driven Iteration: Use analytics, heatmaps, and user behavior tracking to validate designs and prioritize enhancements.
- Integrate Modern Interaction Patterns: Utilize microinteractions, motion design, and progressive disclosure to enhance engagement without overwhelming the user.
- Lead Research & Testing: Conduct usability testing, card sorting, A/B testing, and remote moderated sessions to continuously refine the experience.
- Prototype & Validate Quickly: Use rapid prototyping tools like Figma, ProtoPie, and Framer to test concepts before development.
- Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work closely with engineering, creative, QA, and business teams to ensure design intent is preserved in final delivery.
What You Bring
- 5+ years in UX/UI design, ideally within gaming, connected entertainment, or e-commerce.
- A portfolio that demonstrates user-centered design and visually engaging UI for web and mobile.
- Proficiency with design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch) and prototyping platforms (ProtoPie, Framer).
- Experience designing user flows that encourage purchases or subscriptions.
- Understanding of WCAG accessibility standards and responsive design principles.
- Strong skills in UX research and usability testing.
- Bonus points for experience with internet-connected gaming, in-app purchasing, or pinball platforms.
Why You’ll Love It Here
- Be at the forefront of blending physical gameplay with a connected digital universe.
- Work alongside passionate creators and innovators in gaming.
- Hybrid flexibility, start onsite to immerse yourself in the product, then enjoy a balanced remote schedule.
- Competitive salary, benefits, and the opportunity to shape an iconic gaming experience.
Ideal Candidate
