Job description

General Function/Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for configuring, deploying, maintaining corporate voice, data and security equipment and circuits, installing, supporting and maintaining desktop operating systems, software, utilities, and administering users and systems. Employee must demonstrate a blend of technical and analytical skills and assume responsibility for the scope of his/her assigned work. This includes, but is not limited, to the support of virtualization platform components, software packaging and deployment, mobile devices, PC support, networking, access control systems and video management systems. Work will require a full range of analytical responsibilities, such as gathering requirements, analysis development, testing implementation and detailed documentation following industry standard best practices. This is an "in office" position. Remote work will not be considered.

Key Result Area/Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Fully embrace B&C Service Excellence Initiative by demonstrating “customer-first” actions for all internal and external customers and accepting responsibility and accountability for demonstrating empowerment decisions and actions during daily work
  • Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot and support routers, switches, firewalls and VPN tunnels
  • Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot and support network monitoring systems such as SolarWinds.
  • Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot and support time clocks
  • Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot and support Palo Alto CASB
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and support DVR and Cameras. Oversee and manage installations/vendors as needed
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and support Mitel phone and voicemail systems. Oversee and manage installations/vendors as needed
  • Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot and support Wi-Fi access in corporate offices
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and support copper and fiber cabling infrastructure for the enterprise. Work with and manage third-party vendors as need.
  • Troubleshoot and support all LAN, WAN, MPLS and Internet circuits. Work with ISP providers to resolve issues as needed.
  • Support corporate A/V systems and work with third-party vendors to resolve issues as needed.
  • Create/maintain network architecture drawings and network equipment locations for voice, data and security, including all address information
  • Ensure backups of all network equipment run according to schedule
  • Install, configure and maintain XDR endpoint protection and event correlation
  • Monitor and maintain SIEM, including event management and resolution
  • Handle escalated problems that arise from the use of network that cannot be handled by Help Desk
  • Work on a Help Desk on-call rotation at least one week a month and be available as needed for after-hours work.

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Education: Associates Degree in computer science or related field or equivalent education/experience.

Experience: Minimum 4 years in work related field

  • Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems: Desktop and Server including Active directory.
  • Working knowledge of Cisco and HP switches, Cisco Routers, Palo Alto Networks Firewalls.
  • Working knowledge of LAN’s, WAN’s, VLAN’s, VPN’s and Wi-Fi.
  • IT Certifications: A+, Network+ or willing to obtain within 90 days from start of employment; Cisco CCNA or willing to obtain within 1 year from start of employment
  • Valid driver’s license

Special Physical Requirements of the Job:

  • Walk, use of hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb ladder/stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear
  • Occasionally lift or move up to 25lb.
  • Required to work flexible schedule based on the needs of the business
